PCB-Holder
A while ago I found out about the PCBite product line from sensepeek.
I was intrigued by the concept of fixating a prototype PCB elegantly with clamps on a magnetic plate.
The price was a bit high for an impulse buy and I thought about how these are constructed and if I can build something similar myself.
From the pictures and video on their website the mechanical construction was pretty easy to figure out and replicate in CAD.
Here are a few I built and one in parts for reference.
The red sleeve is pushed upwards by the spring underneath, doing the clamping action. To insert something you can simply pull down the red part and insert the thing you want to clamp.
These work pretty well and because they are made of plastic will never short anything by accident.
